Your new company
This company is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of fasteners and joining products. While they have a significant presence in most Countries, North America is the missing link and they are looking to expand significantly over the next five years. The markets they serve our Automotive, Industrial & Construction however they will initially focus on Construction while they expand in the US & Canada. They are now looking for Product Engineer to cover both the US & Canadian markets.
Your new role
The successful Product Engineer will take full ownership of products from approval through to completion, ensuring seamless execution and delivery. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, and Development teams to fulfill customer requests, including the creation of detailed specifications, calculations, and testing plans as required. Your responsibilities will also include performing field visits to support the sales team, ensuring proper installation and functionality of our products, and carrying out field testing when necessary. You will work with industry-leading OEMs to conduct product demonstrations and facilitate the integration of our products into their portfolios. Additionally, you will analyze competitor products to create benchmarks in terms of price and performance, staying up to date with the latest trends in sales and products.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal Product Engineer will have at least three years of experience in product design, particularly in the fastener manufacturing environment. A bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical engineering, or a similar field is required, while an MSc in engineering is a plus but not mandatory. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, taking full ownership of their projects. We seek someone with a strong technical aptitude, who is detail-oriented and possesses excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
